I needed a driveway built and another company was highly recommended to me. The project became a total disaster where the company owner range quit halfway through the job over a Perceived slight from an innocent question about the work. I later discovered that the portion of the driveway that was allegedly completed could not even allow large trucks to get onto the property safely because the driveway was so soft, even with the gravel on it, they could have literally fallen over into a stream. I also discovered that culverts had been laid so improperly that water could not pass through them.
So, I then looked around for other excavator companies and found Raj and Aaron at S&P excavation. Raj came out to look at the Project, met me on time, and immediately asked good questions that I had never been asked. He knew immediately what permits I was missing and what needed to be done to fix the situation. They knew I had a wet weather spring just by looking at the ground Fix the situation. They knew I had a wet weather spring just by looking at the ground and what would be needed to fix it so it would not negatively affect the driveway.
They worked diligently and were professional the entire time, even working nights to get the job done to honor their timeline, which I never asked them to do. They always showed up time, knew what had to be done and always did what they said they were going to do. They gave me advice at every step of the way about the long-term scope of the project based on their experiences I cannot stress this enough – they were always knowledgeable and professional and impressed me every single time I spoke with them.
Ultimately, the project was expensive, the rate was higher than what a few other excavators in this part of Tennessee would have charged, but I knew that in going with them I would have someone reliable and experienced and that the job would be done right. No one else was able to tell me about the problems my driveway faced right away, nor tell me what permits I needed or even that I needed my permits!
These guys really turned the project around and at last I have a driveway. So, if you want the job done right the first time you would do well to hire these guys.
